TB6612 Motion Motor Control Shield Board

Product Description

Looking to start up an Arduino-based robotics or other motor project? The Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield v2 is the choice for you. This handy shield interfaces directly into your Arduino's headers and gives you the ability to control a slew of motor types with just your Arduino board. Capable of operating up to two 5V hobby motors, two stepper motors or four DC motors, the Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield uses a TB6612 MOSFET driver system to ensure efficient motor operation. An on-shield PWM chip takes care of the motors' speeds over I2C and lets your Arduino's PWM chip operate independently. The shield can also be stacked up to 32 times over, meaning you can control up to 64 stepper or 128 DC motors. You only need your preferred Arduino board and the motors of you choice.

Features:

• 4 H-Bridges: TB6612 chipset provides 1.2A per bridge (3A for brief 20ms peaks)

• Can run motors on 4.5V DC to 13.5V DC

• Up to 4 bi-directional DC motors with individual 8-bit speed selection

• Up to 2 stepper motors (unipolar or bipolar) with single coil, double coil, interleaved or micro-stepping.

• Motors automatically disabled on power-up

• Big terminal block connectors to easily hook up wires (18-26 AWG) and power

• Tested compatible with Arduino Uno, Leonardo, ADK/Mega R3, Due, Diecimila & Duemilanove. Works with Mega/ADK R2 and earlier with 2 wire jumpers

Make it easy on yourself and use the 1438 by Adafruit power management development kit for your project. This product is 70 mm long.
