Low Power, Wide Area Networking LPWAN Antenna Solutions
Abracon’s LPWA/LoRa/SigFox/NB-IoT/ISM antennas combine low power consumption with low data rates and wide area coverage to provide cost-effective solutions for long battery life in IoT applications.
The ceramic SMD chip, ceramic patch and external whip type antenna solutions cover the LPWA (for LoRa, SigFox applications) and ISM bands (for advanced industrial, scientific and medical devices), typically 915 MHz (USA), 868MHz (Europe) and 433 MHz (Asia). NB-IoT, Cat M1 and sub-GHz cellular band antennas are also offered in chip and external types for connecting devices.
The collection also includes the most compact, highest-gain chip antenna solutions available for industrial, scientific and medical ISM designs. Ideal applications include motion monitoring systems, remote keyless entry and medical machines. The chip antennas are made with Low Temperature Cofired Ceramic (LTCC) technology, making them ideal for compact solutions needing to maintain performance integrity at high frequencies.
The external solutions are ideal for rural environments with lower cellular reception. Applications include base stations, smart grid, smart metering and irrigation systems. These solutions provide lower data rate applications with longer battery life (3-5 years) while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
High-gain patch antennas are available with right hand circular polarization (RHCP) to maintain signal independent of direction.
