The LT1785CS8#PBF are Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex bus transceivers that are designed to work with the RS485 and RS422 bus specifications. The high-input impedance allows for up to 128 nodes and the LT1785CS8#PBF is capable of driving low cost low impedance cables. The LT1785 incorporates multiple protection circuits, including no damage or latch-up to ESD, short-circuit protection on all outputs, thermal shutdown protection, and is capable of withstanding voltage faults up to ±60 V. The LT1785 is also capable of data rates of 250 kbaud with 128 nodes, has guaranteed operation to 125°C, and has controlled slew rates for controlling EMI. The LT1785 also integrates a fail-safe whereby receiver inputs are assumed to be high for shorted, open, or inactive data lines.
