The LTC6813HLWE-1#3ZZPBF from Analog Devices is a multicell battery stack monitor that measures up to 18 series connected battery cells with an error of less than 2.2 mV and a measurement range of 0V to 5V batteries. All 18 cells can be measured in 290 us and lower data acquisition rates can be selected for high noise reduction. Additionally, multiple LTC6813-1 devices can be connected together in series to allow for measuring longer and higher-voltage battery systems. This battery monitor can be powered directly from the battery stack or from an isolated power supply and features power saving features such as a 6uA sleep mode. There are also 9 general purpose I/O or Analog inputs which allow for temperature and other sensor inputs to be integrated into your battery or power application. Best of all, this product is ready for design into ISO-26262 compliant systems making it suitable for electric vehicle applications.
