Analog Devices Inc. has one of the widest portfolios of electronic components and products the industry has to offer. Their new ADMV10 RF up/down converters have expanded that portfolio. The ADMV10 series are monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMIC) that have been manufactured using gallium arsenide (GaAs) to ensure quality performance in a compact package.
The ADMV1009 is a differential upconverter that operates in the 12.7 to 15.4 GHz frequency range. The ADMV1009 can receive IF inputs between 2.8 to 4 GHz and LO inputs between 9 and 12.6 GHz. For crisp quality, the GaAs differential upconverter has 21 dB of conversion gain in tandem with 20 dB of image rejection. The ADMV1009 provides compact upconversion, requiring only an 180o balun for selecting sideband. The ADMV1010 is the comparable downconverter for the ADMV1009. Similarly, the ADMV1011 operates like the ADMV1009, except it outputs across a 17 to 24 GHz range. With the same conversion gain and image rejection, the ADMV1011 is also fully integrated, only needing a 90o hybrid for sideband selection. Its downconverter counterpart is the ADMV1012.
All of the ADMV10 series from Analog Devices are designed to provide quality audio/video data transmission for applications such as satellite communications, RADAR, electronic warfare systems, and point-to-point radios.
