STMicroelectronics, a prominent industry leader in semiconductors, has boosted their wireless receiver product line with the addition of the STWLC33JR, a wireless charging receiver with transmitter function. Qi 1.2 and AirFuel certified, the STWLC33JR is a fully integrated system-in-package (SIP) with an ultra-compact 10.6 mm2 footprint.
The STWLC33JR contains several key modules which deliver robust functionality. The main powerhouse behind the receiver with transmitter capability, is its highly-efficient, low-impedance synchronous rectifier. The rectifier provides a 15 W output maximum as a receiver and 5 W max as a transmitter. The STWLC33JR also contains an ARM Cortex microprocessor with 32-bit resolution over 32 MHz with 32 kB of flash and 8 kB of RAM. For configuration purposes, the STWLC33JR also features 4 kB of non-volatile memory. A 32-bit SWM timer, a 10-bit 8-channel analog-to-digital converter and an auxiliary integrated 5 V LDO converter round out the SIP.
As advancements in wireless charging technology continue, using the cutting-edge STWLC33JR is vital. It is ideal for applications such as cell phones, GPS navigators, drones, wearables or any other wireless-charged solution you can imagine.
