The AudioSmart™ 4-Mic development kit from Conexant offers the latest in voice recognition embedded development technology. Add Amazon AVS capabilities to your design, including state-of-the-art background noise suppression and Alexa wake-word technology.
The AudioSmart™ 4-Mic from Conexant allows device makers to quickly and easily turn their new ideas into marketable Alexa product that offer an ideal voice user experience.
The dev kit features Conexant’s powerful CX20924 Voice Input Processor with far-field voice processing technology, preloaded Alexa wake word and 360⁰ Smart Source Locator (SSL) voice tracking. Capable of supporting digital microphones, it has a smart source pick up of 4 mics and an LED module attached to the dev board.
The biggest difference between the 2-mic and 4-mic kit – besides the number of mics – is the fact that the 4-mic kit has noise suppression for a wider range of sound, including non-stationary TV, radio and many others. This allows the device to only hear human voice as its input, so you don’t have to worry about a noisy environment. It also has an omnidirectional field for detecting human voice, so you don’t have to be facing the mic for it to pick up your voice.
The kit comes with the evaluation board, the microphone and LED module attached to it, a USB cable, a cable assembly and a +5V power supply for the dev board.
This dev board is great for applications that include voice-controlled smart TV, smart Bluetooth or Wi-Fi speaker and IoT devices. Just like the 2-mic, the 4-mic kit is compatible with the Amazon AVS for Raspberry Pi Project, so be sure to take a look at a Raspberry Pi 2 for this dev kit.
