How Arrow and PSA Certified™ can Launch Your Design Forward

Fragmented security standards and certifications across regions and industries make embedded security challenging for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Investing time, resources, and the required knowledge of embedded security is critical in avoiding costly data and IP breaches. These can lead to damage to a company’s reputation, slower time to market, or even result in litigation and fines. The PSA Certified team has developed a formalized framework to address these challenges.

  •  Features ten security features to ensure compliance and alignment to leading standards and regulations.
  •  Offers a path for independent lab validated IoT security evaluations.

Arrow is collaborating with PSA Certified Level 1 certified applications that OEMs can use as a basis for connected secure designs. OEMS can take the reference design, layer their IP, and take the completed application through an accelerated certification process. This allows them to successfully launch their products to market securely, faster with more confidence.

Steps to the PSA Certified Framework:

1)   Analyze security requirements

2)   Architect the security design

3)   Create the design

4)   Certify the security design

1. SGS Brightsight – Security Services through Arrow

Arrow Electronics is collaborating and offers SGS Brightsight security services. Many companies recognize the need to design with security in mind and no one can guarantee that they can prevent all security breaches. It is a challenge to keep up with security standards and regulations both regionally and globally. Improving the security of connected devices through independent testing helps build trust in the IoT and align to evolving standards and regulations. This, in turn, will build trust in valuable IoT services on which successful businesses can created. Trust, in other words, builds value and give both OEMs and their customers peace of mind that products were design and independently tested with a vision of making them secure.

Arrow has PSA Level 1 certified platforms through SGS Brightsight that can speed time to market and lower your PSA Certification costs. SGS Brightsight is an accredited lab and a founding member of the PSA Certified program. Their extensive experience and knowledge of security evaluations make them an ideal organization to improve the security of your product and get it PSA certified. Additional services up through and including full product penetration testing are offered though Arrow Electronics and the SGS testing labs.
