Libelium provides a wide range of IoT products to help you quickly develop a system for your project. Whether you’re looking for the Waspmote, which can provide more than 120 sensors types and 16 radio technologies, or its plug-and-sense modules that can quickly add sensors to the system, Libelium gives you a variety of options to work with, especially with its open source SDK & API.

If you are more familiar with Arduinos or Raspberry Pis and want to hack and experiment with sensors at home, they also provide their Cooking Hacks, which is catered to IoT makers. The 3G/GPRS Shield for Arduino + Audio/Video Kit provides connectivity to high speed WCDMA cellular networks and is compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Intel Galileo boards.

The Multiprotocol Radio Shield is another helpful shield for the Arduino (or Intel Galileo) that allows you to connect two communication modules at the same time making many possibilities and applications possible. You can add communication modules such as the Sigfox Socket board or the SX1272 LoRa Socket board.

Cloud Services

Libelium also provides cloud manager services where you can manage all your devices and cloud services from a single point. You’ll be able to share your devices with your own customers in seconds.

You can also get a license for their Programming Cloud services, where you can program your nodes all from the cloud! It reduces development costs, increase security, speeds up the time to market and no need for API updates or complier.

Their MySignals Cloud can have all the biometric data coming from your users in one place in real time. It gives access to all the history of your users in seconds and allows you to analyze the data coming from MySignals where you can watch the raw signals in ECG, EMX, airflow and snore sensors.

Resources

Libelium not only provides products and services, but also has resources that can help you understand a product and its uses or learn about an area you are unfamiliar with.

Its applications section provides information on smart cities (smart parking, structural health, smartphone detection, etc.), smart environment (air pollution, snow level monitoring, etc.), smart water (pollution levels in the sea, water leakages, etc.) and so much more!

If you would like to see examples of how some of Libelium’s products and services have provided real world solutions, they have a whole section of case studies that feature solutions made from Libelium. These include their IoT technology to allow predictive control of vineyards, smartphone detection scanner to identify volume and behaviors in a trade fair, and even smart parking in Montpellier to relieve traffic congestion and reduce car parking search (where you similarly can use with their Smart Parking Installation kit).

Whether you need an IoT product, cloud services, or want to gain knowledge about real world solutions using these products and services, Libelium can provide some insight and maybe some inspiration for your next project, for both a maker and developer.
