Bosch Sensortec continues to push the boundaries of possibilities with the BMP585.
Barometric pressure sensors are a key component in fitness tracking wearables and other applications, enabling altitude to be accurately determined. With its extreme accuracy, the Bosch BMP585 pressure sensor measures a change in height of just a few centimeters. It’s rugged design can detect movements in fitness training down to the level of individual pull-ups or push-ups without interference from environmental conditions.
The BMP585 has a gel-filled cavity that allows highest protection against water and other liquids, including chemicals, with the suitable integration concept. The Bosch BMP585 sensor can be used for applications like height measurement, water-level detection and navigation with a maximum absolute accuracy of ±50 Pa and a temperature coefficient offset (TCO) of ±0.5 Pa/K.
The new BMP585 sensor with its small footprint offers outstanding design flexibility, providing a single package solution that is easy to integrate into other existing and upcoming devices for smartwatches, other wearables, hearables, home appliances, smart homes, and industrial products.
